In Pursuit of Perfection

Mexican artist, Rodolfo Escalera, was committed to the attainment of perfection in his oil paintings. He would spend countless hours researching his next piece. Painting with 00 paintbrushes with oil paint on canvas, his goal was to capture life as the human eye saw it. The image portrayed here is of the Aztec Calendar and the Mexican Eagle. Escalera went to a taxidermist to purchase an actual eagle feather so he could replicate it as precisely as possible. Latino Artist Used 00 Paintbrush

Mexican artist Rodolfo Escalera, painted in the realism genre and used, almost exclusively, 00 paintbrushes. Why did he use them? Because it was with these fine and delicate instruments that he was able to capture the detail his body of oil paintings on canvas represented, as well as to satisfy his creative needs. The 00 paintbrush allowed him the precision he needed to capture a high degree of realism in his artwork. Each brush would be discarded after only 30 minutes of use as they would fray and become useless to him. To see his artwork and the results of his efforts with the 00 paintbrush visit http://www.escaleraart.com/ Once there you will find a diverse field of interest from Latino art, wildlife, architecture, sports and much more.
